Kaliji is internationally renowned as a yogini and founder of TriYoga. With natural intuitive ability, she shares the range of yoga practices and philosophy in a way that is understood by people of diverse backgrounds.
Traveling throughout the world to offer TriYoga, Kaliji has presented over 50 keynote addresses and programs at yoga conferences and other venues. Kaliji was featured in the book Secrets of the World's Inspirational Women, with photos of the women in the prestigious National Portrait Gallery in London.
In the tradition of ancient yoga, the origin and development of TriYoga is guided by Kriyavati siddhi, as expressed through Kaliji. In this way, she has brought forth a complete method of yoga, including more than 1300 hasta (hand) mudras and the systematization of asana and pranayama.
Kaliji is founder of Chant Club®, a music ensemble presenting Sanskrit chants in call-and-response style. She is a vocalist and plays harmonium. Vegan for over 40 years, Kaliji teaches the ahimsa trinity for animals, ecology and health.
TriYoga
TriYoga is a complete yoga, founded by Yogini Kaliji. TriYoga includes yogaflow, yoga philosophy, music (nada), prana vidya, meditation, community, service, and teaching the vegan lifestyle.
TriYoga is renowned for the energy-inspired sadhana, or practice, known as prasara or yogaflow. Systematically introduced, this meditative trinity of asana, pranayama and mudra unites breath and focus with dynamic and sustained postures. Yogaflow has the inherent qualities of rhythmic pacing, relaxation-in-action, wavelike spinal movements and economy of motion.
When the movement of body, breath and mudra harmonize, the inner healing energy of prana flows. Continued practice makes the body~mind a fit instrument for meditation and for life.
Within the TriYoga practice, one can remain with Basics (108 posture sequences) or continue to Level 1 and subsequent levels. In each level, one develops precise natural alignment, strength, flexibility, endurance and a longer, more rhythmic breath.
Basics TriYoga classes are for those new to TriYoga and for those who want to strengthen their core alignments. Basics is the foundation for all classes.
It is also a complete practice in itself. Bolsters, pillows and other props can be used in all levels to ensure comfort and alignment.
In Levels 1 to 5 TriYoga classes, each level includes five series that gradually progress to teach all the postures of that level. In each level postures that require an increasing challenge in strength and flexibility are introduced. Beginning with Basics, each level is a prerequisite for the next level.

Chant Club — a music ensemble presenting Sanskrit chants in call-and-response style. Chant Club emerged with Prasann on tabla and Berni on guitar, together with Kaliji on vocals and harmonium—representing the three Vedic celestial instruments of flute (prana), veena (melody), and mridangam (rhythm). Thanks to the unique and vibrant energy of the three musicians, each performance of the group captures and captivates from the first notes.
